Editing and Customizing an Existing Mate

Introduction

Editing an existing Mate is essential when you need to update or adjust the capabilities of a Mate to better align with the evolving needs of your organization. This process allows you to refine the Mate's instructions, model, and other parameters to ensure optimal performance and relevance.

Editing the Mate's Instructions and Parameters

1. Access the Organization's Mates:
   • Click on the "Manage Mates" button in the menu at the bottom left of the screen.
   • Select "Organization's Mates" to view the listing of all Mates in the organization.
2. Filter and Search for Mates:
   • Use the search bar to find Mates by entering keywords related to their skills or functions.
   • Apply filters to narrow down the selection based on the type of Mate or category.
3. Open the Mate's Configuration Page:
   • Click on the name of the Mate you wish to edit to open its configuration page.
4. Edit the Mate's Instructions:
   • Go to the "Instructions" tab to edit the "System Prompt," which defines the Mate's skills, expected tasks, and the knowledge it should mobilize.
5. Adjust the Mate's Parameters:
   • Go to the "Parameters" tab to choose the LLM model used by the Mate and set the desired temperature.

Changing the Mate's Avatar

1. Change the Mate's Avatar:
   • Click on the Mate's photo to upload a new avatar. Prefer square photos of less than 250KB.
   • Note: Currently, it is not possible to change the Mate's name, type, or description. This feature will be available soon.

Steps to Follow

1. Save and Deploy Changes:
   • After making the necessary modifications, click the "Save" button to save the changes.
   • Click on the "Update" button to deploy the new configuration of the Mate.
2. Delete a Mate:
   • To delete a Mate, click on the three dots to the right of the "Update" button and select "Delete."
   • The Mate will no longer be accessible in conversations but will remain visible in the history of past conversations it participated in.
   • Note: Currently, it is not possible to restore a deleted Mate.
