Entering Organization Information

Objective of the Action

It is crucial to describe the organization to provide a general context for the company. This helps Mates understand the professional environment they are working in and tailor their responses and actions accordingly.

Steps to Follow

  1. Access Organization Settings:
    • Click on the black downward arrow next to the organization's name at the top left of the screen.
    • Select "Settings" from the drop-down menu.
  2. Fill in the Information Tab:
    • Navigate to the "Information" tab.
    • Fill in the meta-information about the organization, such as:
      • Organization Name: The official name of the company.
      • URL Path: The unique URL path of the organization. Note: This identifier was defined when the organization was created based on the organization’s name and cannot be modified.
      • Organization ID: The unique identifier of the organization. Note: This identifier is set when the organization is created and cannot be modified.
      • Website: The URL of the organization’s website.
      • Industry: The main industry of the organization (e.g., SaaS Publisher).
      • Default Language: The main language used for Mates' responses.
    • Modification Permissions: Only Admins and Owners of the organization can modify these settings.
  3. Fill in the Description Tab:
    • Navigate to the "Description" tab.
    • Describe the organization in detail to help Mates understand the overall context. Include information such as:
      • Mission: The mission of the organization.
      • Vision: The long-term vision of the organization.
      • Offerings: The products, services, or solutions offered by the organization.
      • Target Clients: The type of clients the organization serves.
      • Competition: The main competitors of the organization.
      • History: The history and key milestones in the organization’s evolution.
      • Structure: The internal organization, including different departments and their functions.
    • Modification Permissions: Only Admins and Owners of the organization can modify these settings.
