Automatic Response Rule

In GPT Mates, when a user sends a message without any active mention (but possibly with passive mentions) and the last message was produced by a Mate, the Mate considers the message is addressed to them and responds automatically. This rule applies to both Chats and Collabs.

Example in Chat:

  1. Chat Initiation:
    • Steve Jobs initiates a new Chat by selecting the Mate named Claude.
    • Steve sends the message: "Hello, I need your help drafting a sales prospecting email."
    • Claude responds without an active mention as he is selected by default: "Hello @Steve Jobs! I would be happy to help you draft a sales prospecting email."
  2. Automatic Response:
    • Steve sends a message without an active mention: "We want to target consumers willing to invest more than $1000 in their phone."
    • Claude, having produced the last message, understands that this message is addressed to him and responds directly: "Very well, @Steve Jobs. I will focus on those consumers."

Example in Collab:

  1. Collab Initiation:
    • Steve Jobs creates a Collab involving multiple Mates: Growth Planner, MarketSpy, and Creatix.
    • Steve sends the message: "Hello, I need your help drafting a sales prospecting email."
    • No Mate responds spontaneously as no active mention is used.
  2. Active Mentions:
    • Steve actively mentions @Growth Planner: "Do you have any recommendations for accomplishing this task together?"
    • Growth Planner responds, actively mentioning @MarketSpy and passively mentioning @Creatix.
  3. Automatic Response:
    • After @MarketSpy's response, Steve sends a message without an active mention: "We want to target consumers willing to invest more than $1000 in their phone."
    • MarketSpy, having produced the last message, understands that this message is addressed to them and responds directly: "Very well, @Steve Jobs. I will focus on those consumers."

Importance of the Rule:

  • This rule allows for a smooth and natural continuation of conversations without requiring explicit mentions for each message.
  • It applies to both Chats and Collabs, facilitating coherent and intuitive interactions between users and Mates.
